{{selfref|'''This page documents NightRealm Wiki policies. It describes widely accepted standards that all editors should normally follow. Changes made to it should reflect consensus.'''}} {{selfref|This page is about the NightRealm Wiki style guide. For an all-encompassing style manual, see [[wikipedia:Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style|the Wikipedia Manual of Style]].}} This '''Style Guide''' is the style manual for all NightRealm wiki articles. ==Article titles== {{Crossref|Main page: [[wikipedia:Wikipedia:Article titles|Wikipedia:Article titles]]}} ===Nation articles=== For titles of articles about nations, note the following: * After the name of the nation, add the abbreviation of the season the article encompasses in parentheses. For example: ({{xt|Canada (S3)}}), and not ({{!xt|Canada (Season 3)}}); ({{!xt|Canada (Nations S3)}}) or just ({{!xt|Canada}}). For articles that document a nation through multiple seasons: ({{xt|United States (S2/S3)}}), not ({{!xt|United States (S2 and S3)}}). You should use common or short names of nations in article titles, like {{xt|Netherlands (S3)}} and not {{!xt|Kingdom of the Netherlands (S3)}}. ===Other articles=== For titles of articles where it would make sense to include the name of a gamemode on NightRealm, use the following abbreviations: * R+G (or RnG) for Run and Gun mode * Survival (full name) * Creative (full name) * Nations (full name) * LB for Ludus Belli Clarify what you’re referring to if necessary. Instead of ({{!xt|Nations}}), use ({{xt|Nations (gamemode)}}) or ({{xt|Nations (mechanic)}}). ===Player articles=== The title of an article about a player should be the player's ''Minecraft username'' ({{xt|Nimaari}}), not their Discord username unless referring to the account itself ({{!xt|Nimāri or @nimaari}}) , or anything else ({{!xt|Nimāri Murgatroyd}}). You can, of course, use the other variations of their names in the articles, depending on what is appropriate in the given context, but the title of their article should be their Minecraft username. If the person requests, you should use a full-style name (such as Nimāri Murgatroyd) in the article, but be sure to be consistent within the article. ===Miscellaneous=== Code should always be in <code>inline code snippets like this</code> or <syntaxhighlight lang="cpp">// regular syntax highlighting ones like this.</syntaxhighlight>
